Star Soprano Joins Remarkables Picnic Opera

Soprano Felicity Tomkins, winner of the prestigious 2024 Herald Sun Aria competition, headlines the Remarkables Picnic Opera on Sunday 8 February at Stalker's Springpointer Garden.

The 28-year-old joins opera legends Kiri Te Kanawa, Malvina Major, and Joan Sutherland as Herald Sun Aria winners. Critics praise her "complete" artistry and voice "like manuka honey." Her program includes Bette Midler's The Rose and Dvorak's Song to the Moon.

The Cast: New members: Felicity Tomkins (soprano), Jasmine Jessen (soprano), Edward Laurenson (baritone), Jordan Fonoti-Fuimaono (tenor) Returning: Alfred Fonoti-Fuimaono (baritone), Amelia Berry (soprano), Ridge Ponini (tenor) Accompanied by pianist Sarah Watkins, with pre-show performances by electric violinist Arna Morton.
