The Goals and objectives are:

  • To support partnerships between artists, arts organisations and community groups to strengthen long-term, sustainable partnerships in their communities.
  • To further integrate the arts into Central Otago communities and beyond
  • To create a database of artists, galleries and cultural organisations
  • To create a database of venues and facilities available for hire in Central Otago
  • To promote the arts, exhibitions, latest events via website events calendar in conjunction with monthly email newsletters
  • To develop a Central Otago Arts trail for visitors to the region
  • To develop an online gallery for artwork online sales

The information you provide will be used for the Central Otago Arts database and will be listed on the arts directory page of the new website. Please make sure that you provide all the information needed for a full and comprehensive application.

ARTS LISTINGS

How to join

To join Central Otago Arts you need to select your membership category and complete the application form. Your membership is for twelve months from the date of joining. You will receive a reminder notice from Central Otago Arts in 12 months to renew your membership and update your details before it is due to lapse.

There are three types of listings for both artists and galleries/arts organisations:

This category is for individuals who wish to join The Central Otago Arts website database and may include artists, musicians, performers, designers, craftspeople, curators, project managers, arts administrators and any other arts groups interested in supporting the objectives of the organisation. We require basic information - name, address, (location), phone, email, website, arts category, artist statement and 2 images. This entitles you to a basic text listing on the www.centralotagoarts.com website and if you would like we will link it to your free artist listing on the CODC website www.centralotagonz.com. There is no charge for this type of listing on our site.

This category is for groups, organisations and galleries who wish to join the Central Otago Arts website. We require basic information - your group's name, contact person, address, phone, email, arts category and logo (if you have one) and two images. This entitles you to a basic text listing on the www.centralotagoarts.com website and we will link it to your free artist listing on the CODC website www.centralotagonz.com which includes an artist statement, contact details and two images. There is no charge for this type of listing on our site.

A featured listing and profile page with an image gallery of up to 10 images. Your page includes an artist's statement/biography or a description of your group/organisation/business of up to 200 words, an image of the artist/logo (optional) and your location map (optional). You may also include a link to your own website (if any). $80 per annum
