Join us for an inspiring literary event that celebrates the intersection of storytelling, heritage, and creative non-fiction. Award-winning author Karen Wrigglesworth presents "Telling Technical Tales" – a masterclass in transforming technical subjects into compelling narratives.
Karen's acclaimed "Take Me With You!" series demonstrates how creative writing can breathe life into regional history and technical subjects. Her unique narrative approach has earned prestigious recognition, including the recent Charles Fleming Publishing Award from the Royal Society Te ApÄrangi for "Take Me With You 3!" which focuses on Central Otago's engineering heritage.
Karen Wrigglesworth has carved out a unique niche as a 'technical storyteller,' combining professional engineering expertise with compelling writing. Her work demonstrates how creative professionals can find fresh angles in familiar subjects, transforming local heritage into page-turning narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.
Her previous works have garnered multiple awards including an Outstanding Contribution to Heritage Award (2020) and high commendation at the Engineering New Zealand Heritage Awards (2021).
