Central Stories Museum and Art Gallery is thrilled to present internationally acclaimed Italian violinist Luca Ciarla in a special New Zealand performance of his captivating show Mediterramìa on Saturday, 25th October at 7:00 PM.

This extraordinary evening will showcase Ciarla's innovative musical artistry as he draws a mesmerising new musical route through the Mediterranean using nothing but his violin, voice, a loop pedal, and an array of toy instruments. Performing entirely solo and strictly live, Ciarla transforms into a one-man orchestra, playing his violin like a guitar, cello, or percussion instrument while creating layers of sound that evolve into what he calls his dazzling solOrkestra.

Mediterramìa features Ciarla's unique arrangements of traditional Italian folk tunes, music from across the Mediterranean region, and original compositions. In this imaginative musical landscape, audiences will witness the artist singing, whistling, playing multiple instruments, and adding spontaneous improvisations that make each performance truly one-of-a-kind.
