Bannockburn Arts - "Writers in the Wild".

Keen to find out how nature and conservation influences art? Bannockburn Arts is hosting ‘Writers in the Wild’ on Sat 11th October from 10am to 12.30pm at the Bannockburn Bowling Club.
The lineup of speakers for this event all have a deep appreciation of our natural world and includes; Whitney Oliver, filmmaker and director of the NZ Mountain Film and Book Festival; Chrissy Wilkes who has worked with the Department of Conservation on many island sanctuaries and has visited most of the NZ Subantarctic Islands which have impacted her art; Bill Morris who is one of NZ’s most experienced Subantarctic natural history filmmakers, filming for National Geographic and the BBC Natural History Unit, author and musician; Peta Carey who spent the greater part of her working life as documentary director and producer and is now a full time writer drawn into the stories of the NZ wilderness and Subantarctic.
With this impressive lineup of speakers it is a ‘not to be missed’ event .
