  • Black Rabbit Cafe - Show Series, Christine O'Donnell

Born in Dunedin, Chris is an architect by profession and now a painter by choice. In her paintings she shows stories connecting the landscapes of NZ with the endangered species of our land, layering the stories over each other. After the Waikaari eruption in 2020 she was moved to bring the myth of Arawa Chief calling in the fire from Hawaii and show how before it was ever known, that myth has been confirmed by the tectonic plate fault line that joins us to Hawaii along the Kermadec ridge.
