Chasing Adventure: Ever thought about heading off on an adventure? One Tarras man made his dreams come true. Not only that, but he filmed it. Made it into a spectacular doco and then went on to be declared - Winner of the Best Self-Filmed Film Solo Award: “Solo” in the NZ Mountain Film & Book Festival 2024.
Scott Worthington wants to share this movie showcase with his home community. The main feature is a documentary about Scott’s (and a friend) attempt to beat the fastest known time to paddle the complete 3200km of the Yukon River. Solo Greenland, and, Revenant - The Race of Hope and Failure, will also be shown. Come and see spectacular photography, and the beautiful and harsh conditions that Scott encountered. Feel his sense of adventure. Feel his fear, and his joy.
The films will be screened on Friday 13 February 7pm at the Tarras Church. Tickets are limited due to the size of the church, and will be on sale from the Tarras Café. There will be door sales on the night, if not all sold before. All proceeds will be going to Tarras School.
