Japanese Stab Binding Workshop with Melissa Larsen.

Melissa is a local artist and community workshop provider with 30 years’ experience as a secondary school visual art teacher. Her mission is to 'spark joy' through art and positivity.

Come along and learn the art of Japanese Stab Binding. Explore a range of binding ideas, threads, papers and complete one or two stab bound books in your choice of colour and format. The binding skills you learn here can be easily transferred to your own creative endeavours! All materials for the workshop will be supplied. You are also encouraged bring interesting papers to personalise your stab bound books e.g. paintings, memorabilia, drawings, coloured paper, letters, maps.
