Fat Tuesday becomes Fat Sunday as Queenstown’s famous Mardi Gras shifts to the weekend to become our festival finale. So come along and join in the biggest community party of the year as we bring together entertainment and visual arts from all over the world in one spectacular evening of music, dance and a damn good time. From Brazilian beats to New Zealand roots and everything in between, this will be a night to remember as the Earnslaw Park stage becomes a veritable musical melting pot. Queenstown’s Ukulele Orchestra kicks things off at 4.00pm sharp before we go international with Grupo Junina (Brazil) and Ainu (World Music Experience).

The Beat Girls, a Motown Show and hit NZ bands Babysitters Circus and dDub complete the lineup in what promises to be 4 ½ hours of world class entertainment. The
Beach Street stage will once again showcase the amazing talent of the Wakatipu’s youth thanks to Rockformation and make sure you keep an eye out for the stunning Auckland Airport Lantern Parade from 6.00pm. You wont go hungry with over 20 al-fresco food stalls serving a variety of festival fare and don’t forget to buy your Mardi Gras beads and glow sticks and help raise money for Remarkables Park Primary School.
