First Concert of Mathias Piano Man on his South Island Tour this coming April 2016. Come enjoy a peaceful evening listening to his unique compositions, played to you from a grand piano in a quaint and intimate atmosphere in central Queenstown.

Mathias Piano Man is a self-taught pianist, originally from Belgium, who discovered his passion for piano composing, in New Zealand 5 years ago. He has been restlessly composing new pieces since then and has to this day completed 6 albums of his own. He is commonly known in Queenstown for busking with a recycled upright piano on the waterfront at sunset times, for which he has been the merit winner picture out of 15000 entries in the National Geographic Photo Travel Contest in 2013. He has also given a TEDx talk in Queenstown on the same year, where he shared his story as a pianist but also “what he truly needs in life”.

Mathias's compositions are peaceful yet dynamic, and have been described as "New Classical", "Minimalist" or "Emotional". They invite you on a quiet walk to relaxation and contemplation.

Mathias will be touring the South Island this coming April 2016, to share his unique compositions as well as some personal stories. Other concerts in April: Invercargill, Balclutha, Dunedin, Oamaru, Timaru, Geraldine, Akaroa, Christchurch, Nelson, Motueka, Greymouth, Hokitika and Franz Joseph.
