Central Otago’s hugely popular country music festival is back for its 33rd year with a fantastic lineup of talent over three days at the Cromwell Racecourse.
Country music lovers should prepare for hoarse voices, sore feet and late nights with a three-day festival coming to Cromwell.
Cromwell’s Gold ’n Notes Hoedown is one of the biggest events on the country music calendar. A record crowd of more than 900 people attended the Gold ‘n’ Hoedown in 2018 with over 90 artists singing the weekend away with along with more than 40 recording artists from all over NZ.
This year we have the 2019 NZ overall Gold Guitar Winner Jaydin Shingleton. He was a hit with everyone at our Hoedown in 2014 at only 14 years old! He came back again in 2017 and he said he would be back, and true to his word, he’ll be on stage this year. Also, we have Kevin Greaves and Kylie Austin from the far North. Both have been touring the States in the past couple of months so we should have a great showcase. You can also look forward to Lanae and Bruce Hill, Reg McTaggart, and the 14-year-old 2018 Junior New Zealand Country Entertainer of the Year, Josh Keating. They are all top NZ entertainers so our line-up for the showcase is looking excellent! Be sure to keep an eye on our Facebook page for more updates.
