We are delighted to bring Bare Essentials with their unique blend of rich vocal harmonies of well-known classic jazz and popular tunes such as “Let’s fall in love,” “It’s got to be perfect” and many others you know and love.

Legends of the Dunedin music scene, William Davidson and John Meddings are the core of Bare Essentials. The two have played together in various projects over several decades. They enjoy regularly expanding their group to include other players and currently are collaborating with jazz pianist -vocalist Annemarie Nelson. It’s the duo that is the enduring partnership. Both William and John have a wealth of national and international experience and perform an eclectic mix of well known & not so well- known music they arrange to suit the combination of their two talents and keep the audience entertained. They deliver a polished professional performance with a sense of fun.
