  • Aspiring Conversations.

Aspiring Conversations is a unique ideas festival set against the stunning backdrop of Lake Wanaka. Originally running as part of the successful Festival of Colour arts festival, Aspiring Conversations now has its own weekend – the next one is April 6 - 8 2018.

This year’s speakers include Prime Minster Jacinda Ardern, former President of Ireland Mary Robinson, Australian author Christos Tsiolkas, senior NASA astrophysicist Jennifer Wiseman, and John D Potter, the Chief Science Advisor to the Ministry of Health.

There will also be a musical session, featuring Radio NZ's Nick Bollinger in conversation with Reb Fountain, Anthonie Tonnon and Warren Maxwell, and Nick Steur's FREEZE! - an outdoor performance piece that sees Nick stacking rocks in real time in ways that seem to defy the rules of physics.
