Art Workshops with FLOX - Roxburgh & Millers Flat.
- Telephone 022 017 0478
Location: Teviot Valley
Region: Roxburgh
Dates: Fri, 10 January 2020 - Sun, 12 January 2020 @ Daily.
The Teviot Valley Community Development Group (TVCDG) alongside the Central Otago District Arts Trust (CODAT) are thrilled to announce that a community art project will be happening in the valley in the new year.
TVCDG and CODAT have been busily working toward bringing renowned Auckland artist Flox to the Teviot in January 2020. Flox will arrive on the 10th and will stay for two weeks. During this time, she will offer several FREE art workshops in Millers Flat and Roxburgh. All ages and abilities are welcome – please note attendees will be required to be handy with a craft knife.
You don’t need to have any experience and there is no pressure to come with any grand ideas of your own. Just bring a smile and a keen attitude, and you’re guaranteed to walk away with fresh skills and greater knowledge of art processes.
Both permanent residents and seasonal workers are encouraged to come along, join in and give it a go. This is a massive opportunity to learn skills from one of the best street artists in New Zealand at the same time as contribute ideas which could help inform the final design of Teviot’s own piece of street art.
