Alexandra Thyme Festival
Location: Pioneer Park
Region: Alexandra
Dates: Sat, 28 October 2017 - Sun, 5 November 2017 @ Daily
The Thyme Festival aims to develop our skills of a sustainable, healthy, creative community.
The Festival seeks solutions to climate change and supports resilience in our changing environment. The Festival raises awareness and provides tools for change by showcasing leading solutions to the ecological and social challenges we face and exemplifies sustainable practices.
Attracting a diverse slice of our community the Festival engages with local organisations and individuals to stage Central Otago’s largest arts and sustainability festival.
The Festival theme, ‘Cherishing Our Environment’ is reflected in the interactive workshops, walks, talks, demonstrations, working artists, exhibits, films and live performances.
Featured events in this year’s programme include; a fast paced Pecha Kucha night, a Health Retreat and an Art Exhibition.
The nine days of art, sustainability, craft and wellbeing includes a market day in Pioneer Park on Saturday 4 November. If you would like a stall at the market, please contact us.
