  • Entries are Open to the Trashion Show 2016

Trashion into Fashion is a competition where garments are made largely from previously used materials (bubblewrap, plastic bottles, wrapping paper, etc). The 2016 Trashion Show is on the look out for entries from individuals, groups, teams and businesses for its popular event to be held on Friday 14 October. Official entries close on 26 September.

Two of the three categories are garment related with the remaining category being for accessories. The only requirement is garments or accessories must be made of trash or recycled materials.

One of the garment categories named "Too Good To Waste" is aimed  solely at businesses and provides an opportunity for them, be they big or small, to transform all used packaging, materials and other business related waste into a garment that surprises everyone, particularly their customers and business competitors!!

The second garment category appropriately titled "Anything Goes" is open to fashion designers, creation whizzes , imagination devotees and anyone who finds a challenge in turning their hand to something just a bit different.

But if you prefer something smaller than a garment a fashion accessory that can be worn from "Head To Toe" awaits you.  This category is the chance to shine creating a hat, tiara, earrings, necklace, brooch, belt, bangle, ring, shoes or other fashion appendage.

There is a prize pool of $500 for each garment category and $250 for the accessory category. What a way to have some fun and raise some money for your favourite cause or charity. Bragging rights are optional!
