The humble beanie - functional  in preventing heat loss through the head and stylish in creating a level of nonchalance that never goes out of fashion. An accessory found in just about everyone's wardrobe.
 
Now comes the challenge to design and make your version of this iconic head covering for the Bannie Beanie Awards.

With categories of most imaginative, best use of colour and people's choice plus one especially for school children there is scope aplenty for your creativity and innovation.

In fact anything goes the only conditions being it must be handmade, head warming, brimless, wearable and celebrates the joy of the awards theme, Heartland New Zealand.

The Bannie Beanie exhibition is on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd October from 10:30-4pm at the Bannockburn Hall.
