OnScreen Short Film Competition 2026 (Online)

We're back! Get your crew together and get ready to make a short film, doco or music video for OnScreen 2026!
With thanks to our presenting partner the Wright Family Foundation, alongside the Vista Foundation, Yoobee College of Creative Innovation, NZ On Screen, ZM, Photogear, Smokefreerockquest and RQP.
The competition is free to enter and open to all high school students in Aotearoa! There is also an Intermediate section for students in years 7 & 8.
There are some amazing prizes up for grabs thanks to Photogear, and it is all free to enter! Registrations open NOW, with films due in September. Register early and get access to free mentoring, workshops and filmmaking opportunities throughout the year.
