Dunedin Midwinter Carnival 2025
Location: First Church, 415 Moray Place, Central Dunedin
Dates: Fri, 27 June 2025 - Sat, 28 June 2025 @ 5.30-9.00pm
The Dunedin Midwinter Carnival returns this June 27 and 28.
We’ll be transforming First Church and surrounding grounds into a luminous celebration of light and imagination, with our theme - Wings of Wonder.
Immerse yourself in the dazzling lantern installations. Snap a pic with the roving costumed performers. Enjoy captivating performances featuring an array of local ÅŒtepoti/Dunedin artists, and of course the mini lantern processions will light up the night, and the faces of those involved!
We have once again partnered with Meridian Mall to bring you our community workshops. This year our lantern team and volunteers will guide you through the creation of a bumblebee, an owl, a gull, and a rocket.
