Rippon Hall is lucky to have Shane Walker and Kate Boswell (both are based in Wanaka, NZ) in residence this August!
Shane is a multi-disciplined artist from mural art and portraiture, to realism and Kiwiana. He draws inspiration from the classic New Zealand culture and often finds quirky ways to incorporate this into his works. You will see a strong influence from the idyllic scenery and world famous beaches from around New Zealand.
Kate is a watercolour landscape artist. Her work is a fresh and contemporary interpretation of the NZ landscape. Using the watercolour medium and emphasising strong contrasts of light, Kate’s paintings depict familiar natural features in a unique and interesting way.
