'Looking at the Moon' by Marg Hamilton.
First solo exhibition by Eade Gallery - Marg Hamilton is a well known artist in Central Otago. Previously an art teacher at Dunstan High School, Alexandra, Marg now paints full time.
“My images explore the land striations so iconic to Central Otago. River flats, hills, valleys, lakes and mountains are painted in strong horizontal layers. Textures, pattern and foils add interest. The inclusion of the simple, round moon shape for me, added a pleasing element in the images. It draws my eye, hence the exhibition title Looking at the Moon."
