Events Calendar

The Wednesday Group is comprised of a number of painters who gather together once a week and are tutored by artist Megan Huffadine. They travel from throughout Central and Queenstown Lakes to attend classes.

Some of the members of the group have been working for many years, others are beginning their journey with painting. During the course of the year, plein air painting, mixed media work as well as figure and portrait painting have been explored.

Subject matter includes landscapes, figurative and abstract works. The works include a wide range of drawing and painting approaches and varied media use; expressive and vigorous works alongside deftly handled and delicately worked images.

This exhibition is a celebration of their work, commitment and journey throughout the year.
