Discover a remarkable series of gold rush murals painted in 1962 by Russell Clark. Originally commissioned for Dunedin’s City Hotel, the panels follow a determined Scotsman and his loyal terrier on a lively adventure through the Central Otago goldfields. Rescued from decades in storage and later championed by Grahame Sydney, these vibrant works offer a unique blend of art, history, humour and local heritage.
A fascinating exhibition celebrating Central Otago’s gold rush story through the eyes of one of New Zealand’s most accomplished artists.
