Te Puna Mahara, Cromwell Memorial Events Centre, is delighted to announce the very first live music performance ever to grace its new auditorium stage, welcoming Gore-born, Melbourne-based singer-songwriter Jenny Mitchell.

Hailing from New Zealand's country music capital, Jenny Mitchell has built a reputation as one of Australasia’s most captivating storytellers, weaving songs of family, home, longing and life’s beautifully ordinary moments. Her latest album, Forest House, earned widespread acclaim, leading to performances alongside global superstars The Lumineers, the donation of more than 200 Safe Nights to Women’s Refuge, and a nomination for Best Country Artist at the 2026 Aotearoa Music Awards.

As the first musical artist to perform in Te Puna Mahara’s stunning new auditorium, Jenny will present a special theatre edition of her Heart Like A House tour. The unique, application-based tour has seen the Southlander travel to every corner of Australia throughout 2026, bringing intimate performances to communities large and small.

Audiences can expect an evening of acoustic guitar, voice and story - songs stripped back to the way they were written, delivered with the warmth, humour and authenticity that have made Jenny one of New Zealand’s most beloved singer-songwriters.
