A Musical Journey into the Past: Rogues, Rebels & Unsung Heroes
Acclaimed folk musician Chris Priestley brings New Zealand's hidden history to life through song. With over thirty years as a pivotal figure in the New Zealand folk music scene, Chris has crafted beautiful ballads celebrating the rogues, rebels and unsung heroes from our nation's past.
This intimate solo performance features evocative folk and Americana songs about New Zealand's forgotten characters. Engaging storytelling that breathes life into history. A captivating slideshow of historical photographs and newspaper clippings, Stories of adventurers, balloonists, prospectors, outlaws and everyday heroes.
From Little Biddy Goodwin to Captain Moonlight, from Prussian adventurers to pioneering women – discover the colourful personalities whose stories deserve to be remembered.
