The Alexandra Thyme Festival orginated from a community desire to celebrate the beauty of Central Otago landscape in November, when the wild thyme blooms. 

A week celebrating the arts and sustainability with the theme of 'Celebrating Our Environment.' That theme is reflected in the week-long workshops,working artists, demonstrations, walks, talks, performances and exhibitions which offer something for every age group. The week ends on Sunday November 17th with markets, talent quests, garage sales, buskers and much more.

Enviroschools Tent - Hosted by our Enviroschools - Interactive displays and activities sharing their enviroschools journey so far.

Central Otago WasteBusters Tent - Spoon to Flowers Tuesday,Mosaic From Recycled Materials Wednesday, Cut n Sculpt- Glass Thursday.

Working Artists - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in the Park.
Children's Art Exhibition  - Community House.

Central Otago Embroiderers Guild A display of embroidery by members  in the Alexandra Library from the 10th - 27th November , 2013.  During normal Library hours.

Lunchtime Concerts in the Park. Monday - Friday.
“Scavenger Hunt” in the William Bodkin Gallery at the Central Stories Museum – each day of the Festival

Buskers - 10.00am - 2.00pm, 4 spots available for 1 hour (can be solo or groups). Organised by Alexandra District Youth. Takings are all yours! Entry forms available at REAP. 
Markets - 10.00am - 4.00pm an amazing selection of stalls including crafts, art and produce. Ph 449-2119 to book. 
Art Sale -  in the tent 10.00am - 2.00pm Register at REAP. 

MORE FM Talent Quest - 10.00-11.00am Involves performances from throughout the Central Otago region. Greatprizes! Register with MORE FM. 

Sustainable Alley - 10.00am - 4.00pm Community groups, businesses and individuals showcase their sustainable products and services. Register space at REAP. 

SKIP Time With Dad - 10.00am - 1.00pm Bring your child/ren along and create things with wood and natural materials. 

Car Boot/Community Garage Sale - 10.00am - 4.00pm Sale of pre-loved goods. Register space at REAP.
