ARTS GOLD AWARDS 2019, AWARDS EVENING.
The Arts Gold Awards aims to seek and celebrate the finest artisans Central Otago and New Zealand has to offer. Artists from throughout New Zealand have entered their best works from which 58 finalists were selected by this year's judges.
The opening and announcement of the 2019 Arts Gold Award winners will be held at Central Stories Museum and Art Gallery from 5.30pm on Friday the 27th September. We are delighted to have the Hon Grant Robertson, Minister of Finance and Associate Minister for the Arts, Culture and Heritage as our guest speaker. This is a ticketed event. A limited number of tickets will go on sale to the public on Monday the 9th September at Central Stories Museum and Art Gallery. Tickets are $30 per person.
The following cash prizes will be awarded at the exhibition opening:
Arts Gold Supreme Award.
Perseverance Estate Central Otago Artist Award.
Centago Mining Merit Award.
Otago Central Rail Trail Merit Award.
Viewers will be invited to vote for the following...
Tall Poppy Real Estate Viewers Choice Award.
The Tall Poppy Real Estate Viewers Choice Award will be announced at the conclusion of the exhibition.
AUCTION: At the opening event Peter Hishon will auction the following:
*4 days/ 4 nights Otago Central Rail Trail Package for two people valued at $2000.00
*A one day bike hire and transport package for six people valued at $500.00
