American Express Winter Festival Opening Party and Fireworks

‘Winter Starts Here’ so come and kick start your Queenstown Winter Festival with a bang at the American Express Opening Party and Fireworks! Earnslaw Park and Lake Wakatipu will light up as the entertainment and reworks gets you in the festive mood.
Party along to Kafka Collective, a four piece made up of some of Dunedin’s finest musicians and led by Molly Devine. Then get your groove on with local band Red, a party band with some of the best and brightest of musicians that the Wakatipu Basin has to offer.
Before you know it the countdown will be on to ignite the reworks and of cially open the 2016 festival!
Finish the night with the anthems you know and love when well known Kiwi personality Shane Cortese and the 8 Track Band perform their ‘Run to Paradise’ Show. They will have you dancing along to songs from Dragon, INXS, Hello Sailor and more.
Wrap up warm, grab something hot and tasty from the food stalls and celebrate the start of winter with us tonight!
