Annemarie is a photographic artist with an interest in historic and alternative photographic techniques. Some of her earliest memories as a child are of printing in the darkroom with her Grandfather Henry and Father David.

She graduated with a Diploma in Photographic Arts from Whitecliffe Art School in 1989, and currently works primarily with historic processes such as photogenic drawing and cyanotypes.  She's travelled to the UK to attend workshops learning the daguerreotype, wet plate collodion and photogenic drawing processes.

In 2013 she spent time as artist in residence at Lacock Abbey, Wiltshire, UK, one of the birthplaces of photography.  Photogenic drawing was invented here, and it remains her favourite process, despite camera images requiring 6 hours exposure.

Annemarie is an exhibiting member of Hullabaloo art space, an artists' collective gallery in Old Cromwell Town. See for more info.
