5 Short St, Bannockburn

I have been painting for about the last 12 years, having been a Photographer for many.

I am particularly stimulated by our surroundings in Central Otago, but really, by a lot of other areas as well. My intention is to gather the life, energy, movement & spirit of the Mountains, Rivers, Lakes and Coastlines.

The big open sky’s we have create another dimension. With so much light and shadow changing all the time. Stormy whether days are the most interesting, or more when it starts to clear.

Living in Bannockburn allows me to be close to all things of interest to paint.

I also love to stitch ... I like to create my own designs which I draw out on graphic paper and go from there - yet another way of laying down colour.
