Debut author to tour Central Otago Libraries
Cromwell author Kaye Moore will share her experience of writing and self-publishing her debut novel with Central Otago audiences later this month.
Kaye has recently published D Time, a 485-page mystery fiction with an Anzac plot influenced by her time living in both Australia and in New Zealand.
The book’s central character Kathy Brooks has a transcendental experience that propels her into the future where she meets some of her yet to be born family. Armed from this encounter with the knowledge of an impending natural disaster Kathy is compelled to return to the present to save her family from imminent tragedy.
Kaye says she hopes readers will see beyond the obvious disaster scenario and enjoy the “core” of the book, which centres on “a family that has love, commitment, and support for one another and those they are close to”.
Kaye will speak in Cromwell Library on Friday 11 September at 10.30am; to the Clyde Book Club at Oliver’s on Saturday 12 September at 10am; and at Alexandra Library on Wednesday 16 September at 2.15pm.
