Evita is a musical with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice. It concentrates on the life of Argentine political leader Eva Perón, the second wife of Argentine president Juan Perón. The story follows Evita's early life, rise to power, charity work, and eventual death.
Scott Andrew is the musical director for the Alexandra Musical Society production of Evita which will be showing in September over Blossom Festival week.
Tickets for Evita will be going on sale at the Theatre in Early September but will be available online at iticket.co.nz in early August so watch this space. There are great discounts for opening night and for groups of ten or more..... so get a party together and prepare to make great savings for group bookings.
Our Season runs from September 26th (Blossom Festival Saturday) until Friday 2nd October. Shows are at 8pm except for the Sunday when a matinee (with a discount for all seats) will be held.
This promises to be a great show not to missed.
