Saltire (A Duo from Scotland) - Scottish Show

Under the name 'Scotias Hardy Sons' they sold out last time in 2011. Now with a new singer, they will sell out again. They are in Ranfurly on the evening of the Art Deco festival & this is a fundraiser for the Maniototo Arts Council.
This duo is like Foster & Allen, but Scottish.
Comedy, traditional Scottish songs, audience participation - a great night out.
Prizes for best dressed Scottish.
David Vernon
Edinburgh based virtuoso accordionist David Vernon has performed at musical events and festivals all over the world. David appears on 23 CDs and can be seen playing in the Robert Duvall movie "A Shot at Glory". He is also a ceremonial Bagpiper.
Alex Hodgson
Prestonpans, East Lothian singer/songwriter/guitarist Alex Hodgson has made 2 CD’s - Jeelie Jars 'n' Coalie Backies & The Brig Tae Nae Where having signed to Greentrax Recording.
He has performed for the Queen at the Ghillie Ball at Balmoral. His music is distinctively Scottish, with both a charm and humour with a keen love of Scottish variety theatre. He has appeared locally in many amateur stage productions. His interest in storytelling has also seen him appearing at Newton Mearns Storytelling Festival and workshops at the City Arts Centre, Edinburgh, and he also entertains children. If that is not enough, Alex appears on Forth 2 Radio programme 'The Best of Scottish', presented by Kenny Hutchison, and performs a new song weekly live. He has also presented 'The Sunday Gaitherin' on Radio Borders. Alex is a born entertainer!
