David McAtamney is a man with 2 vocations, opera singer on one hand & farmer on the other. He and his wife Edna, reside in the mighty Maniototo and travel regularly to Wanaka. David is generously performing free of charge in support of Rotary Wanaka's fundraising venture to provide another Shelter Box for disaster prone areas.
His programme includes:
2 Arias by Verdi, Di Provenza La Traviata & Largo factotum Barbiere Di Siviglia and a selection of well known popular songs, such as, Bless this House, Santa Lucia, Ol' Deuteronomy an Andrew Lloyd Webber number, Panis Angelicus, On a Clear Day, The Lord's Prayer by Molotte, Ol' Man River by Jerome Kern and many other songs.
David will be accompanied on piano by Judy Faris. The Presbyterian Church in Wanaka, is known for it's excellent acoustics and it's fine piano, a fitting venue to appreciate the outstanding quality of David's baritone voice.
Rotary Wanaka look forward to a successful evening with David and encourage everyone to attend the summer performance in February.
