Tall Poppies III - Standing Tall - Celebrating Strengths
Tall Poppies III is a multi-media exhibition celebrating the creative talents of artists with mental health issues. Supporting Families in Mental Illness Central Otago will be showcasing artworks created by users of mental health services, their families, mental health professionals and other supporters within the community to help address the stigma and discrimination associated with mental health. Taking part in the exhibition will help in the development of confidence, self esteem and creativity, and for some this will be a huge step towards the community acknowledging someone with a mental illness as an artist in their own right. Central Stories will be previewing selected exhibits for two weeks in their Up & Coming Art Space until October 3rd .
