  • Live Music, Art,  Food, Wine, Local Olive Oil, Historic Walks, Winery Tour, Visiting Scarecrows, Car Boot Sale, Art, Craft and Produce Market…………………there’s something for everyone on 3-5 October, at this year’s  “Across the Bridge in Bannockburn”.

The Bannockburn event is in its third year, but some of the events are brand new.  The Bannie Beanie competition has really captured the region’s imagination, with high interest both in taking up the challenge to create an entry, and in viewing the results. Categories include the People’s Choice, and you can vote when you view the beanies. At the same venue, will be a Recycled Fashion Exhibition.  Facing the Hall, there will be a Floral Design exhibition in the beautiful Bannockburn Community Church.

Bannockburn has a wonderful collection of professional artists, and we celebrate them with an exhibition of their talents.

Come and listen to the Fine Thyme Chorus Singers.

Bannockburn Sluicings Car Park, Felton Road
Walk with renowned local photographer, Tim Hawkins, around the sluicings exploring the photographic possibilities while learning about the idiosyncrasies of the digital camera. Images will be shared at The Kitchen at 3.15pm. Numbers limited. Cost $30. To book phone Tim on 03 445 1815.

Bec Stanley (Masterchef runner-up) is guest speaker at The Kitchen 
Another new addition is ‘Run Rabbit Run’ – a wild rabbit pie competition among the region’s chefs.  The winner of this will be announced by Bec and presented with a trophy by local artist Jenni Barker.

Live Music with Celtic band, Carnethy.

The Classic Car and Hotrods unique display in the Bannockburn Domain will be accompanied by live music, as will the Market and the Bannockburn Hotel garden.

We have one hotel, one café/restaurant, one shop and twelve wineries, so naturally wines and vineyards will feature, along with olive groves.
