Central Otago Art Society - Expressive Floral Painting Workshop with Megan Huffadine

Workshop to be held on March 16th - 17th, 9.30am - 3.30pm daily.
This two-day workshop will provide an opportunity to explore expressive approaches to working with acrylic paint. Participants will learn how to use negative shapes to create floral still life paintings via step-by-step demonstrations, as well applying these processes to paint objects, animals and people.
Participants will work with brushes, a range of painting tools, stencils and mixed media on paper to create richly textured surfaces.
Materials to bring: brushes and containers for water. All other materials will be supplied (some brushes will be available to borrow).
Optional: bring a canvas or board, no bigger than 30 cm x 30 cm. to experiment on.
This can a be a messy process so wear clothes that you don’t mind getting paint on or bring an apron.
