Labour Weekend Sunday is an exciting time in Central Otago as we hold the annual Alexandra Basin New Releases Tasting where you can taste over 50 new releases wines, talk direct to the wine makers and vineyard owners, enjoy music and locally produced complementary cheese - all in the tranquil setting of historic Oliver's Gardens in Clyde.

Sam Kim has been judging wine for the last 19 years, has been involved for the past 28 years in New Zealand hospitality and wine and for the first time is visiting the Alexandra Basin as our special guest at the 8th  New Releases Tasting Event.

Note: the ticket price is all you pay, no extra charges for wine tasting! Guests also receive a branded tasting glass and a tasting booklet with information about each vineyard and the wine they are presenting. Also complementary locally made cheese and crackers, live music, extra food is available from the Olivers’ Stand (separate cost) seating under a marquee and a presentation by our special guest, Sam Kim, all adds to make this a pleasurable event!
