Sense of place

Cromwell's Heritage Precinct – as it is and as it was – will be the theme of a winter group show by the Hullabaloo artists collective in Cromwell

The show, Sense of Place, opens at Hullabaloo Art Space on July 11. The 15 members of the collective work in a range of media including painting, print making, ceramics, photography & sculpture and their responses to the theme are likely to be diverse.

"Having a common theme tends to generate a lot of creativity amongst our members. Last year we took the Aurora Track at Bendigo as a theme and that was a very successful exhibition," says Hullabaloo member, Liz Rowe

"All of us spend time regularly in Old Cromwell so the area has a lot of associations for us. It is a beautiful place to have an art gallery and an increasingly popular destination for tourists as well as locals."

Visitors are also warmly invited to the opening of Sense of Place at 5pm on July 11. The exhibition will run until August 1.
