It started with 158 applicants from 27 different countries. The top 18 of the world’s finest young violinists will now be brought to New Zealand to compete for the prizes on offer.
The biennial competition is recognized as one of the world’s most compelling violin competitions. The fusion of spine-tingling performances, warm and enthusiastic audiences, breathtaking scenery and kiwi hospitality creates an unparalleled platform for competitor and audience member alike.
Flexible attendance options cater to the classical music enthusiast, as well as those who are less familiar and want to see what all the buzz is about.
