Tutor: Rachel Hirabyashi
About the tutor: Rachel Hirabayashi studied printing then later worked in Auckland as a commercial artist/graphic designer. She has traveled overseas extensively, gained a Bachelors degree in art history/theory and has now settled in Cromwell in a 100 year old cottage with her three dogs and a large garden.
Rachel says "the surface of the canvas is where I try to intermesh an idea with a recognizable visual form. Layers of pigment and paint act as a filter for my feelings for a place. Most images are based on a memory, something that has made an impression upon me, either visually or emotionally."
Dates: 11 - 12 April - 10 - 4pm
Cost: $90.00 for 2 days
Venue: Community House Alexandra
This will be an excellent workshop for all levels of painting
All materials supplied along with morning & afternoon tea.
