Manhattan Short Film Festival Exclusive to NZ at Central Cinema!

Alexandra cineasts will unite with over 100'000 film-lovers around the world during the week of Sept 25 - Oct 4 when the 18th Annual MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival screens at select global venues.

We are the only cinema in NZ to be a part of the festival! And you are truly a part as you yourself cast a ballot on the films. They are then tallyed in New York headquarters, the winner being announced on 5 October.

Short films are the start of every director's path: Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Quentin Tarantino, M. Night Shyamalan – among numerous others – all started their career and journey with creating short films. Who knows? Perhaps one of these artists will continue on and produce great things!

These short films will not only entertain a global audience but will be judged by them as well. Cinema-goers will become instant film critics as they are handed a BALLOT upon entry that allows them to vote for the Best Film and Best Actor.
