Central Cinema Inc

21 Centennial Avenue,

Central Cinema Inc. is a community cinema bringing movies to people in our area.  The theatre is a boutique cinema with comfortable seating, high quality sound and vision, and the ‘feel good’ experience gained by showing a wide range of films and having food and beverages available to be enjoyed at leisure.

With the Central Cultural Centre Trust and the Central Stories Museum and Art Gallery the pavilion at the rear of Central Stories has been developed to form the Otago Daily Times Theatre, a multipurpose facility for educational, cultural and cinematic purposes.  This was achieved with grants from Central Lakes Trust, Vincent Community Board, Transpower, Otago Community Trust, and the Alexander McMillan Trust.
