The Arts Gold Awards Ceremony will be a fantastic evening out where you can put on your best attire and enjoy a taste of good southern hospitality. The celebrations begin at 6pm on Friday the 25th of  October, Central Stories Museum and Art Gallery in Alexandra. This is a great opportunity to be the first viewers of an exhibition of this calibre and your chance to purchase a masterpiece!

The winners of the Art Excellence Award and the Central Otago Artist Award will be announced at 7pm by top art experts Jamie Hanton and Felicity Milburn. Guests will enjoy beautiful Central Otago wine from Quartz Reef winery and Three Miners vineyard along with delicious nibbles. Talented Central Otago musician Sam Flannery will provide the entertainment.

If you can't make the opening, the Arts Gold exhibition opens to the public on Saturday the 26th of October and runs until December the 7th. This gives people plenty of time to visit the gallery to see this wonderful exhibition. Viewers are encouraged to vote on their favourite artwork and help one lucky artist to win $1,000 in the Viewers' Choice Award. All voters go into the draw to win six bottles of Central Otago wine to be announced on December 5th. Votes can be cast in person at the exhibition or online. CLICK HERE
