Tour Update 14 May 2014: Anna and Sofie, members of Antithesis Quintet will now be joined by colleagues from Sweden's Dalasinfoniettan, Falun to perform the Antithesis tour. The tour will still feature the New Zealand works and the Mozart and Brahms clarinet quintets, with the full programmes to be confirmed in June.

Outstanding emerging New Zealand clarinettist, Anna McGregor with The Dalecarlia Clarinet Quintet will present ‘A Programme of Opposites’ featuring New Zealand works alongside the all-time favourites, the Mozart and Brahms clarinet quintets.
Anna completed her postgraduate studies at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and along with fellow student violinist, Sofie Sunnerstam they have formed The Dalecarlia Clarinet Quintet with the principal string players from the Dalasinfoniettan, Falun in Sweden where Anna is currently on contract.
One of these players is Kiwi violinist Manu Berkeljon, originally from the West Coast and she is the associate principal 2nd violin in the DalaSinfoniettan. She has held long-term contract positions with Sydney Symphony Orchestra and New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, and has had positions as principal or concertmaster with Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra, Willoughby Symphony Orchestra and Arco Chamber Orchestra in Sydney.
Anna McGregor has performed professionally with the Swedish Radio Orchestra, Royal Stockholm Philharmonic, Royal Swedish Opera and has freelanced widely with a variety of other orchestras throughout Sweden. She has recorded for Radio New Zealand, Atoll Records and Waiteata Music Press and premièred pieces by numerous New Zealand composers including Chris Adams, Robbie Ellis, Ross Harris, Alex Taylor, and Gillian Whitehead.
The Dalecarlia Clarinet Quintet will conclude their CMNZ tour by recording an album of New Zealand music with Atoll Records in Dunedin at the invitation of Anthony Ritchie through funding from the University of Otago.
