Central Stories is very pleased to have well renowned local artist Rachel Hirabayashi exhibiting in the ‘Spotlight on Design’ space in the retail area. Rachel is an award-winning artist of both metal sculptures and paintings. On display and for sale we have several of Rachel’s works including charming kinetic sculptures that swing with the touch of a finger! A self-taught artist, Rachel has spent time living in Japan and Mexico and continues to travel to seek inspiration for her work. Rachel is a founding member of the Hullabaloo Art space in the Cromwell Historic Precinct and has her own gallery and garden open to the public at 16 Horace Street, Cromwell. The ‘Spotlight on Design’ space is one of the many new initiatives underway at Central Stories culminating in a re-opening of the Russell Henderson Gallery with a local photo competition on the 14th March and a re-launch of the retail area on the 28th March.
