Theatre Skills & Auditioning with John Goudge
John Goudge will be leading drama workshops on Theatre Skills and How to Audition....Want to refresh your skills, or try acting for the first time, to learn more about performing....then these workshops are for you - all ages, new and experienced actors alike.
How to.....Theatre Skills
Sat 13th June, 10.30am to 12.30pm
The first half of the workshop concentrates on the core skills of an actor—voice, creating character, being open & responsive, playing actions & objectives, & interpreting script. Through exercises & scripts you practise your skills, & end up with a repertoire of simple methods you can use any time to prepare yourself for performance.
How to.....Audition
Sat 13th June, 1.30pm to 3.30pm
The second half of the workshop is about preparing to audition. Auditioning of course is usually the only way to get an acting role, so it’s your one chance to impress the director or casting director. In this course you will learn methods of preparing for audition for any theatre, film or television production. Get tips for learning your lines, deciphering your script, & working with other actors.
John’s classes are practical & fun, & encourage everyone to challenge themselves at their own level. His workshops arm you with renewed confidence & skills for performance, auditioning, & life.
Here’s what others have said about John’s acting workshops: “John is a teacher who genuinely cares about his students' progress. His passion, knowledge & dedication to his craft is inspirational.
