Location: Carrick Winery
Region: Bannockburn
Dates: Fri, 15 February 2013 @ 7pm
Jackie Bristow returns to Bannockburn this month as part of her 18 date summer tour of NZ.
A young 'girl and her guitar,' Bristow left Southland with a dream of making her way as an international touring and recording artist. This is, exactly, what she has done!
The life of a touring & recording folk pop artist once seemed a world away from Jackie's hometown of Gore. But life has come full circle and after a 3 month US road trip last year Jackie is home again for her NZ summer tour. Jackie writes from the heart. Her love of New Zealand shines through her voice and songs as she shares her stories far and wide.
Jackie is joined on this tour by Mark Punch a guitarist/singer & songwriter who started playing in bands after leaving school in the early 70s. This was the beginning of a long career of playing with most, if not all, of the major singers of the last 35 years in Australia.....and he continues to do so to this day.
Mark has toured and recorded with the likes of: Joe Cocker, Dave Dobbyn, Mark Williams, Jimmy Barnes, Slim Dusty, The Wiggles, Delta Goodrem, John Rowles, Mark Hunter(Dragon), Judith Durham(The Seekers) and more.
Jackie Bristow will play favourite songs and some new tracks from her fourth album at Carrick with Mark Punch on Friday February 15th at 7.00pm. Tickets: $25 are available from the winery on Cairnmuir Road (445 – 3480)
