The Sounds Like Us exhibition celebrates 100 years of Radio in New Zealand. A clever blend of radio and New Zealand culture is captured in this display of characterful models created by the Weta Workshop. The exhibition journeys through New Zealand history as heard on the radio from early Morse code transmissions through the first public broadcasts in 1911, the advent of commercial & non-commercial radio stations over the decades, to the multimedia networks of today.
The exhibition runs to 8th March 2015 at Central Stories’ Russell Henderson Art Gallery & Gillian Grant Room.
