Artist Jane Coombs of Queenstown is currently exhibiting at the Black Rabbit Cafe.
Jane, a lovely Welsh lady, married to a Kiwi, is bringing her take on the impact human settlement has made on the landscape of New Zealand, the old weatherboard homes and sheds that speak of habitation in the past but leaving a legacy of old human stories.
Strong colour, using oil and acrylic paints, Jane has a very stylistic approach that brings the old to life, paintings that are evocative and charming.
